Needs Assessment Proposal
Assessing Wholesale and E-Commerce Concerns
This project was focused on addressing concerns about a pattern of feedback Manchester Coffee was receiving from their wholesale and e-commerce customers. Customers were reporting that orders were arriving with incorrect items, being delivered extremely late, and in some cases going missing. I worked closely with other management and the business owners to try to determine the needs and make a recommendation plan for changes moving forward. I really enjoyed collaborating with the team to find solutions that helped the business continue to grow in its success!

Phase One: Gathering Preliminary Data
In the beginning phase of this project, information was gathered through meetings with the business owner and management staff to discuss the problems and perceived gap in performance. This phase focused on establishing goals of the needs assessment, and collecting and reviewing data. I spent most of this phase communicating with the business management team to gather information surrounding the situation. Some of the topics included, the objectives of the current training, the expectations of the role, and the specifics of the recurring complaints they had been receiving.
Phase Two: Plan the Assessment
The second phase of the project focused on developing a work plan to keep the assessment on a target.
Phase Three: Analyze Knowledge and Skills Requirements
In the third phase of the project, I developed and utilized assessment tools including: on-on-one interviews, observations, and a review of archived data.
Phase Four: Data Analysis
The fourth phase was all about compiling, reviewing, and reporting all qualitative and quantitative data collected. All of the data collected from the interviews, observations, and archived data was brought together and analyzed for the purpose of identifying knowledge and skills gaps.
Phase Five: Prepare Final Report
In the final phase, all findings were compiled and reported to the business management and ownership.
